Lira, Uganda: As Uganda approaches the 2026 general elections, political parties are ramping up their efforts to secure victory in the national polls. One notable figure is Dick Apili, the current accountant at Lira University, who has officially declared his intention to run for the position of Chairperson of the NRM Workers’ League in Lira City Council. Apili’s candidacy has garnered significant support from NRM members, largely due to his unwavering loyalty to the party.
