Lira, Uganda: Hon. Lilian Winny Atala, who is running for Woman MP in Amolatar District, has made a commitment to tackle the urgent challenges her community is facing.

Dedicated to the UPC principles of focusing on improving infrastructure, healthcare, and education to create meaningful change, Atala commits herself to transform the community.

"I'm not just running for office for the sake of it," Atala stated. "I want to bring a nurturing approach to our district, which has been overlooked for too long."

She criticized the current administration for not fulfilling its commitments, pointing out the shortage of quality schools, hospitals, and roads, along with increasing poverty. "We need a change," she asserted. "Our community deserves a leader who genuinely cares."

Atala also highlighted the need to empower and inspire the youth, including those who haven't had the chance to go to school. "We must offer them alternatives and help them build their skills," she explained.

As she prepares to compete against the current MP Dr. Agnes Atim Apea and other candidates like Hon. Akome Dorcus and Hon. Nam Eve Tyan in the party primaries, Atala is optimistic that her vision and determination will lead to real improvements in Amolatar District.
