DAF School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kole Offers 50% Partial Scholarship to Students as Government Lowers Admission Grade
Lira, Uganda: The Government of Uganda has revised the admission criteria for medical students, lowering the required grading points from C to D for Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) students under a new curriculum.
Welcoming the directive, Madam Alice Akite, the director of DAF School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kole, stated that the institution embraces the change, recognizing its potential to create more opportunities for aspiring healthcare professionals. She said the institution is offering 50 percent partial scholarship opportunity for July Intake Students. "Bursary opportunities remain a key component of the school’s financial support policy for our students". She Stated
In addition to its existing 50% partial scholarship scheme, the institution has announced a special incentive for the upcoming July 2025 intake. The first 100 students to enroll will receive free admission, further enhancing accessibility to quality nursing and midwifery education.
DAF School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kole, one of the pioneering institutions in health education, acknowledges that financial barriers often prevent many students from pursuing their dreams of becoming healthcare professionals. This partial scholarship initiative aims to bridge the gap and strengthen Uganda’s medical workforce.
Prospective students can collect their admission forms from the institution’s main campus in Barkalo, Akalo Sub-county, Kole District, or download the application forms from the official institutional website for online submission.
