The Lord Doesn't Save With Sword Or Spear, He Will Deliver All Our Enemies Into Our Hands; Gen Muhoozi Preaches The Gospel
Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has shared a Bible message, quoting scripture about the power of God in the face of battles and challenges.
In a message attributed to him, Gen Muhoozi said: “The Lord does not save with sword or spear, for the battle belongs to our God, and He will deliver all our enemies into our hands.”
The statement comes from the Bible story of David and Goliath, where David faced the Philistine warrior despite being heavily outmatched in size and military strength.
According to 1 Samuel 17:47, David told the people that “the Lord does not save with sword and spear” and that “the battle is the Lord’s.” The verse continues by saying that God would give the Philistines into their hands.
The preceding verse, 1 Samuel 17:46, also records David telling Goliath that the Lord would deliver him into his hands. This shows that the words shared by Gen Muhoozi closely follow the biblical account of David's confrontation with Goliath.
The passage is therefore not a newly created statement, but a reference to scripture from the Old Testament. It presents David's confidence that victory would come from God rather than from weapons alone.
By sharing the verse, Gen Muhoozi used a well-known biblical story to communicate a message about faith, courage and reliance on God during difficult battles.
The scripture is found in 1 Samuel 17:47, making the reference to the Gospel clearly rooted in the Bible, although technically the passage is from the Old Testament, not the four Gospel books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
