‎

‎ALEBTONG, UGANDA — BA Public Nursing and Primary School Alebtong, an institution known for its performance in the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), has dedicated its candidates to God ahead of the forthcoming national examinations, calling for divine wisdom, protection, good health and success.

‎

‎The dedication ceremony brought together school leaders, teachers, parents, candidates and religious leaders to pray for the learners as they prepare to sit their examinations.

‎

‎Delivering the sermon, Pastor Nikolas Opio of Yahweh Pentecostal Assembly of God, Telelela Assembly, Moroto Zone, Alebtong District, commended parents for their continued investment in their children's education.

‎

‎He noted that education remains a vital foundation for personal development and the future of the community, urging parents to continue supporting their children through school fees, learning materials, encouragement and prayer.

‎

‎Pastor Opio further encouraged the candidates to put their trust in God as they prepare for the examinations, reminding them that success requires faith, discipline, hard work and proper preparation.

‎

‎Drawing lessons from the biblical account of King Solomon, the pastor encouraged the learners to seek wisdom and understanding from God, emphasizing that wisdom is essential in making sound decisions and overcoming challenges.

‎

‎He urged the candidates not to allow fear or examination pressure to discourage them, but instead to remain focused, confident and committed to their studies.

‎

‎The sermon was guided by **Proverbs 8:22–29**, which highlights the wisdom of God and His role in creation, and *lNumbers 6:24–26, a passage commonly known as the Priestly Blessing, which calls upon God to bless, protect and grant peace to His people.

‎

‎The prayer session was intended to strengthen the candidates spiritually and emotionally as they approach this important stage of their academic journey.

‎

‎School-based prayer and dedication ceremonies provide an opportunity for learners to receive encouragement from their parents, teachers and religious leaders. Such support, alongside adequate revision, discipline, good health and time management, can help candidates approach their examinations with confidence.

‎

‎As the candidates prepare for the PLE, the school community remains hopeful that their efforts, combined with the support of their teachers and parents, will contribute to positive results.

‎

‎The ceremony concluded with prayers for God's guidance, protection and blessings upon the candidates, their families and the entire school community.

‎

‎“May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you.” — Numbers 6:24–25
