Lira City, Uganda: P.U.P Ltd (Paligaz Ustadi Production Ltd) has launched a new travel terminal along Juba Road in Lira City, marking a new development in passenger transport services between Lira and Gulu.
The new terminal, located next to Jaga Wine Depot, will operate 14-seater and 7-seater vans, providing travellers with an organised transport option focused on safety, reliability, affordability and timely departures.
According to the company management, the launch is aimed at responding to the growing demand for dependable passenger transport services along the Lira–Gulu route, which is frequently used by traders, students, workers, patients and other travellers.
To attract and reward passengers who plan their journeys in advance, P.U.P Ltd has introduced an early-booking promotion. Travellers who book their seats 24 hours in advance will receive a UGX 1,000 discount, while those who make bookings 48 hours ahead will receive a UGX 2,000 discount.
The company says the promotion is intended to make travel more affordable while also helping passengers secure seats before their travel time.
For many years, travellers moving between Lira and Gulu have faced challenges accessing organised and reliable transport services, particularly during busy travel periods. P.U.P Ltd management says the new terminal is intended to provide passengers with a more structured and convenient travel experience.
The company says it will prioritise passenger safety, customer care, punctuality and professional service as it works to build confidence among travellers using the Lira–Gulu route.
P.U.P Ltd also plans to position itself as a model transport service provider in Northern Uganda by providing services that respond to the needs of the growing population and increasing movement of people between major towns in the region.
Passengers travelling from Lira to Gulu and those travelling in the opposite direction can access the new terminal along Juba Road, next to Jaga Wine Depot, Lira City, for bookings and travel arrangements.
Management has encouraged travellers to take advantage of the early-booking discounts and book their journeys in advance to avoid last-minute inconveniences.
