Response to Hon Omara Paul statement over the raido station against the President’s statement in regards to Hon Com Abeja Susan Okello

OTUKE, UGANDA: Isaac Anyii, a strong NRM supporter and dedicated promoter of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), has challenged Otuke Constituency MP Hon. Paul Omara over what he describes as a misleading interpretation of President Yoweri Museveni’s remarks concerning the coffee project in Otuke

Responding to remarks reportedly made by MP Omara on a local radio station, Anyii accused the legislator of misrepresenting the President’s message and unfairly blaming Hon. Susan Abeja.

According to Anyii, President Museveni’s message at the rally in Otuke District headquarters was different from what MP Omara is allegedly portraying.

“The President did not say that, Hon. Susan Abeja failed his coffee project. He explained that he had been working together with his daughter to promote coffee seedlings, but that some people interfered with the program,” Anyii said.

Anyii added that President Museveni further assured the people of Otuke that he would engage Hon. Abeja and find the best way to restart the coffee project.

He therefore urged MP Omara to focus on the President’s actual message and avoid statements that could create unnecessary divisions among Otuke leaders.

“Our leaders should unite around development. We should not turn the President’s message into political fights. Anyii said.

Anyii called on the people of Otuke to seek clarity from the President’s actual remarks rather than relying on political misinterpretations of his message.

This an opinion by Hon. Isaac Anyii.
