El-Elyon Ministries Commissions Over 50 God’s Servants to Spread Gospel Across Lango & Acholi

Apac Municipality, Uganda: El-Elyon Ministries Uganda Chapter has commissioned more than 50 God’s servants to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to communities across the Lango and Acholi sub-regions.

The commissioning ceremony, held in Apac Municipality last Saturday, followed a three-day spiritual retreat featuring fasting, discipleship training and intensive teachings aimed at preparing the participants for Christian ministry.

The event brought together church leaders, pastors, evangelists, ministers and believers from several parts of Northern Uganda, including Apac, Amolatar, Amuru, Gulu City and Omoro.

The newly commissioned servants, described by the ministry as  field officers in the house of God, are expected to support evangelism, discipleship, prayer, counselling and community outreach, with particular attention to hard-to-reach areas such as prisons, schools and underserved communities.

Speaking to this publication,  Pastor Joseph Newman, who was in charge of the training, commended the participants for dedicating their time and accepting the responsibility to serve God.

Pastor Newman said the training equipped the new field officers with knowledge of the doctrine and mission of El-Elyon Ministries, including the ministry’s emphasis on reaching communities with the Gospel while supporting social and economic empowerment initiatives.

He challenged the commissioned servants to remain committed to their calling and work towards reaching families with the message of Jesus Christ.

“Our desire is to see every family accept Jesus Christ and experience transformation through the Word of God,” Pastor Newman said.

The training also emphasized the importance of discipline, commitment, servant leadership and personal responsibility among those entrusted with spreading the Gospel.

Ministry leaders urged the field officers to make the Bible the foundation of their work and to demonstrate Christ-like leadership in their respective communities.

They were further encouraged to promote peace, unity, love and reconciliation while responding to the spiritual and social needs of the people they serve.

The ministry said the commissioning represents an important step in strengthening its evangelism and community outreach programmes across Lango and Acholi.

The new field officers pledged to faithfully serve God and use their calling to reach more people with the message of hope, salvation and transformation.

El-Elyon Ministries says it will continue equipping Christian workers and expanding its outreach, particularly to communities that are difficult to reach, as part of its broader mission to strengthen the Christian faith and contribute to positive community transformation in Northern Uganda.
