Hon. Ocen Peter: A Beacon of Hope and Development in Kole South Constituency

Kole, Uganda: Hon. Ocen Peter, the incumbent MP for Kole South, is seeking re-election in 2026 for his last term. With a proven track record of delivering tangible development, Hon. Ocen's message resonates with love, unity, and progress.

Hon. Ocen's commitment to healthcare is evident in his initiatives. As LC5 Chairman, he bought a pick-up vehicle, which was later modified into an ambulance in 2015. This innovative idea was widely appreciated and copied by many MPs in Lango. Building on this success, Hon. Ocen has since procured ambulances as MP. In his first term (2016-2021), he acquired one ambulance, enhancing emergency medical services. In his second term, he acquired two more ambulances, one immediately after winning re-election and a state-of-the-art ambulance equipped with oxygen, which he bought just last week. The latter is set to be launched by UPC President Hon. Jimmy Akena. These initiatives have saved countless lives. Additionally, he has distributed Mama Kits to expecting mothers, ensuring safe deliveries.

Hon. Ocen has consistently demonstrated his commitment to empowering communities. He has provided financial support to women’s groups, churches, and community organizations, and mobilized youth for brick-making initiatives, offering financial assistance and technical guidance.

In environmental conservation, Hon. Ocen has distributed over 50,000 tree seedlings since 2021. He has also invested in infrastructure development, constructing water taps in Bala and Akalo Town Councils, which will improve access to clean water for local communities. This tap water will be launched next week on Thursday 14th may2025.

Throughout his career, Hon. Ocen has served in different positions, leaving each role with a lasting impact and the love of the people. Now, as he seeks his last term, he promises to dedicate his final years in office to grooming a worthy successor, with the aim of handing over power in 2031. He urges contestants in Lango to engage in politics characterized by love, brotherhood, and respect, emphasizing that they will all remain part of the Lango community, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and unity.
