Peter  Obong Acuda Sworn In as Maruzi County MP, Delivered Powerful Message 

Kampala, Uganda: Walking with smiles and warm gestures as the traditional Lango song *“Jujok Amalu Ating Dong Aroma Do Bi Kony Wa” played in the background, Hon. Obong Acuda took the oath of office as the Member of Parliament for Maruzi County for  the 12th Parliament.

During the swearing-in ceremony, Obong Acuda UPC strong man expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Maruzi County for the trust, love, and confidence they placed in him through what he described as a “remarkable decision” to entrust him with leadership.

The newly sworn-in legislator, known for his development-oriented mindset, pledged to use his leadership experience to transform the lives of his people and fight poverty across the constituency.

Speaking calmly to the press shortly after taking the oath, the former teacher emphasized that education and health services would be among his top priorities during his term in Parliament. He noted that improving schools, supporting teachers, and strengthening healthcare systems are essential for community development.

Obong Acuda further promised to work closely with local leaders, youth, and women groups to ensure inclusive development and improved service delivery in Maruzi County.

Residents and supporters who attended the ceremony welcomed his message with excitement and optimism, expressing hope for effective representation and socio-economic transformation in the area.
