Assistant RCC Sam Olang Marks Birthday with Call for Peace and Unity

Lira, Uganda— Assistant Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Lira, Sam Olang celebrated his birthday with a strong message encouraging peace, unity, and collective progress within the community. Rather than focusing solely on personal festivities, Olang used the occasion to reflect on the values that bind society together.

In his message, he emphasized that sustainable development can only be achieved when citizens work together in harmony.

> “As we celebrate my birthday, I want to remind everyone that peace and unity are the foundations of development. Let us continue to work hand in hand, putting aside differences for the betterment of our community,” Olang said.

He further highlighted the role of individuals, leaders, and institutions in promoting dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect. According to Olang, communities that embrace diversity and cooperation are better positioned to address social and economic challenges.

Olang’s remarks come at a time when many regions are navigating political, social, and economic pressures that require unity of purpose. His message aligns with ongoing national and local efforts aimed at strengthening social cohesion and fostering inclusive development.

Sam Olang, was born on 27th April, in a humble family , raised in Christian foundations, Olang is well respected figure in the society.
