Dokolo, Uganda — Lango Region — In a significant show of unified political backing, the Renzori NRM Mobilizer Pressure Group has actively participated in the recent rally led by President Yoweri Museveni (commonly known as M7) in the Lango sub-region, demonstrating widespread support for the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
The event attracted large crowds from Dokolo and neighboring districts, underscoring the strong grassroots support for NRM across northern Uganda. The mobilizer group, comprising grassroots supporters and local leaders from the Rwenzori NRM Mobilizer Pressure Group, reaffirmed their loyalty to the party’s leadership and their commitment to mobilizing votes in the region.
Key Leaders and Their Messages
Briungi Agness, Vice Chairperson of the Renzori NRM Mobilizer Group, revealed that their main goal in Dokolo was to mobilize votes for President Museveni and all NRM candidates contesting in Lango. She emphasized that their members, from village level up to district leadership, are dedicated to rallying support and encouraging community members to vote for NRM candidates.
"We are here to mobilize votes for President Museveni and ensure that the NRM continues to lead Uganda towards stability and development," Briungi stated. "We urge the people of Lango not to be misled by opposition groups but to continue supporting Museveni and the NRM for a brighter future."
Juke Joel, a regional leader in the Lango sub-region, added that as part of the pressure group, they are working hand-in-hand with the NRM to secure victory in the 2026 general elections.
"Our presence here today is a testament to the strong support the NRM commands in our area," said Kisakye Harriet, one of the leaders of the Rwenzori NRM Mobilizer Pressure Group. "We are united behind President Museveni’s vision for Uganda’s progress and stability."
Support and Current Developments
Currently, thousands of supporters from Dokolo and neighboring districts have gathered at Dokolo Technical School, awaiting the arrival of President Museveni, who is presently in Amolatar. The rally is expected to boost morale and further galvanize support ahead of the upcoming elections.
