Don't Be Kind to Corrupt PDM Officials, There Is Space In Luzira Prison - M7 At Lango During Histric Victory Celebrations
Lira, Uganda: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has issued a stern warning to corrupt officials involved in the Political Dialogue and Monitoring (PDM) program. He called upon leaders and the public not to be lenient with such officials but to respond decisively and ensure they are arrested and brought to justice.

While celebrating his victory during festivities at Lango College, following his re-election, H.E. Museveni urged Members of Parliament to diligently monitor government programs and ensure that all households receive the funds allocated to improve their livelihoods.
He emphasized: *"Don't be kind to corrupt PDM officials; there is space for them in Luzira (prison). No one should deduct PDM funds from the beneficiaries."*
In addition, the President unveiled a government plan to distribute free agricultural inputs, including fruit plants and coffee seedlings, aimed at fighting poverty within communities. He revealed plans to utilize land in Baralegi for establishing nursery beds to produce coffee seedlings and fruit plants, which will then be distributed to local farmers.
Museveni reiterated his vision of helping Ugandan citizens escape poverty through the promotion of commercial agriculture, encouraging communities to embrace entrepreneurial farming practices.
During the celebrations, the President was warmly received by notable leaders from the Lango Sub-region. Among them was the Director General of the External Security Organisation, Ambassador Joseph Ocwet, who played a significant role in organizing the event. Ocwet praised Museveni’s attendance, highlighting the achievements of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in Lango since 1986.
