MP Elect Alyela Omodi Drums people of Lango to Turn Up in Thousands At President Museveni’s Victory Celebrations

Lira City, Uganda: Officials have confirmed that President Yoweri Museveni will arrive in Lira City on Saturday to celebrate his victory with the people of at Lango College.

The Member of Parliament-elect for Lira City East, Denis Alyela Omodi, has called upon residents across the Lango sub-region to turn up in large numbers to welcome the President and participate in the celebrations. He emphasized that the event is an opportunity for the people of Lango to demonstrate their support, appreciation, and trust in President Museveni’s leadership.

Omodi, who is increasingly gaining popularity among constituents in the region, noted that the President’s re-election reflects strong national confidence in his leadership and the policies of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM). According to him, the victory is a clear indication of the electorate’s continued endorsement of stability, development programs, and economic transformation efforts spearheaded by the government.

He further encouraged unity among the people of Lango, urging them to use the occasion not only to celebrate but also to reaffirm their commitment to peace, development, and collaboration with the central government.

Local leaders and security agencies have reportedly finalized preparations to ensure a smooth and secure event, with large crowds expected to attend.

During the celebration, lango is expected to also deliver their agenda to president Museveni, NRM chair.

Museveni has received massive support in Lango in the just concluded election.
