TESO SUB-REGION, Uganda, Anthony Egunyu, a dedicated NRM member from Soroti City, is receiving strong backing from fellow NRM supporters after declaring his candidacy for the Chairman of NRM in the area.

Egunyu, an experienced politician and long-time NRM member, has played a key role in uniting the party alongside his team known as the city cadres in the Teso subregion.

His political aims include representing the common people's interests, defending the values of the NRM party, boosting grassroots mobilization, promoting the NRM manifesto, and supporting the government's efforts to reduce poverty and create wealth. He also seeks to enhance the Chairman’s Initiative for a more inclusive and transparent government.

Egunyu aspires to push for greater development in Eastern Uganda.

As a committed NRM member, he expressed confidence in winning the upcoming internal elections, believing that the ruling party will achieve significant success in Soroti City.

An NRM member praised Egunyu for his admirable leadership style and encouraged the people of Soroti to support him as the sole candidate.

He aims to change perceptions of the NRM in challenging environments and to counter the belief that it is a party for outcasts and self-serving individuals.

Egunyu has committed to upholding and promoting the core values of the NRM while amplifying the voices of both party members and the wider community.

The race for internal party elections within the National Resistance Movement (NRM) is heating up as members prepare to elect new leaders at all levels, including vice chairs for Northern, Eastern, Central, and Western Uganda.
