Ugandan comedy fans have been left mourning the sudden death of popular comedian Yokana Mbuuse, popularly known as Kapere Lufotose, who passed away on Sunday evening, November 1, 2026. His unexpected death has shocked many people who knew and enjoyed his comedy performances.

According to information shared by his family, Kapere developed a severe headache while he was with his wife, Lydia Nakandi, popularly known as Mama Trump. The couple had reportedly travelled to Buddo in Wakiso District to visit their child at school when his health suddenly deteriorated.

His wife explained that the comedian complained of an intense headache before biting his tongue and collapsing. The incident happened unexpectedly, leaving those around him concerned about his condition as they rushed to get him medical attention.

Kapere was initially taken to Zam Zam Clinic for treatment before being transferred to Royale Health Services Hospital in Buddo. Unfortunately, he later passed away at the hospital, bringing an abrupt end to his life and leaving his family, friends and fans in grief.
