Fresh Blood Obai Determined to Take NUP's territory in Makindye East MP seat

Kampala,Uganda! 2026 nears for the country to get into the general elections, Seven people have expressed interest in the Makindye East division for the Parliamentary seat.

One notable person that is causing serious panic among the contending candidates is Fred Obai 

Hailing from Abutadi sub county in Amach sub county in Lira district, former Ugandan Prime Minister and President Apollo Milton Obote's tribemate is currently receiving massive support from the electorates even before the electoral has officially launched the roadmap for the elections.

Obai who recently embarked on serious consultation in the area said if entrusted with the mantle to represent the Makindye East division, he will prioritize lobbing funds for roads rehabilitation to improve smooth access in the area.

Other areas that he pledges to take keen attention on include; health service delivery and education standards which he said has drastically gone down due to a staggering representation at Parliament.

Obai  said for years, Makindye East division has been experiencing poorly represented in the August House due to poor choice of personalities elected.

He said he go an independent ticket, which according to him will help him work effectively to represent the interest of the electorates prospective of party affiliation.

Makindye East division, is one of the constituencies in the Capital City of Uganda, Kampala. It is currently being represented at Parliament by, Derrick Nyeko of the National Unity Platform (NUP) party.
