Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery Announces July 2026 Intake in Lira City

Lira, Uganda; Ugandan Leading Pregistious Institution, Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery in Lira City has officially opened admissions for its July 2026 intake, offering new opportunities for aspiring healthcare professionals across Uganda.

According to the institution’s leadership, the July intake is designed to accommodate fresh UCE Certificate hodlers and certificate who missed enrolling during the January intake. This initiative aims to ensure that more students are given access to quality medical education without having to wait an entire academic year.

Dr. Isaac Orec, a practicing medical officer and also Executive Director of the institution, confirmed, the new intake will be supported by a bursary scheme available to both certificate and diploma students intended to ease the burden on students and families, making medical education more accessible.

Dr. Orec stressed more on the importance of pursuing medical-related courses, noting that in a time when youth unemployment remains a major challenge, careers in healthcare continue to offer reliable employment opportunities.

 He further highlighted that graduates with medical training often find it easier to secure jobs both within Uganda and internationally due to the high demand for healthcare workers.
