Generation Seven Pressure Group Intensifies Mobilization for NRM Presidential Candidate Museveni in Lango

Lira, Uganda: The Generation Seven Pressure Group, a prominent youth-led organization supporting the National Resistance Movement (NRM), has intensified its efforts to galvanize support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s bid for re-election. Comprising young professionals, students, and grassroots supporters, the group has organized a series of rallies, outreach programs, and social media campaigns aimed at boosting Museveni’s popularity ahead of the upcoming presidential elections.

In a significant development, at the Old Akiibua Stadium in Lira, coordinators of Generation Seven gathered to strategize on how to mobilize massive support for President Museveni and the NRM party. The rally was held under the slogan "Preserving the Legacy of H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni," emphasizing the importance of continuity and stability in Uganda’s leadership.

Addressing a large gathering of journalists and supporters in Lira City, Walter Abong, one of the national leaders of Generation Seven, stated, “We want to preach the gospel of protecting the gains made under President Museveni’s leadership and uphold his legacy. Our mission is to educate and mobilize the youth and the general populace to support his continued presidency.”

The mobilization efforts include door-to-door campaigns, town hall meetings, and the deployment of digital platforms to reach a wider audience. The group also plans to hold youth forums, debate sessions, and community outreach programs to highlight the achievements of the NRM government and underscore the importance of leadership continuity for national development.

President Museveni, who has been in power since 1986, remains a dominant figure in Ugandan politics. His supporters, including groups like Generation Seven, believe that his leadership is crucial for maintaining stability, fostering economic growth, and advancing national unity.

As the election season approaches, the participation and influence of youth-led groups like Generation Seven are expected to play an increasingly vital role in shaping Uganda’s political landscape. The group’s activities in Lango region underscore the strategic efforts to secure youthful support and reinforce the NRM’s dominance in the upcoming polls.
