REVEALATION: Oyam Incumbent woman MP Santa Alum Leading Amidst Shift Competition

Oyam, Uganda: In a surprising turn of events, recent opinion polls have revealed that the incumbent Oyam District Woman MP, Santa Alum, is leading the race amidst a crowded field of National Resistance Movement (NRM) aspirants. As the 2026 elections approach, Alum's popularity continues to soar, showcasing her strong connection with the electorate and her unwavering commitment to addressing the needs of her constituents.

Despite facing fierce competition from numerous NRM candidates, Alum's consistent performance in Parliament and her dedication to her community have earned her widespread support. Her ability to navigate the complex political landscape and deliver tangible results has resonated with voters, solidifying her position as the frontrunner in the upcoming elections.

Previously, the incumbent woman was ranked among the best performing mps from Lango and Uganda, this ranking has made more popular not only in Oyam but the entire Lango sub-region. 

Much as she is in opposition, MP Alum also has good connections with the NRM government, through her connections, she lobbied for her people of Oyam in different sectors .
