Alebtong — Christine Acen, a prominent woman hopeful for the Member of Parliament seat in Alebtong District, has officially launched her campaign amid overwhelming support from community members. The event took place at Abia Subcounty, where Acen emphasized her unwavering commitment to promoting sustainable community development and empowering local residents.

Addressing a large gathering of supporters, Acen highlighted her plans to focus on key issues such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure development. She called on community members to unite and collaborate in fostering growth and prosperity within Alebtong.

“I am here to serve and uplift our community. My campaign is rooted in the principles of development, unity, and progress,” Acen stated. Her message resonated strongly with attendees, many of whom expressed confidence in her ability to deliver on her promises.

Supporters cheered her on as she outlined her vision for a better Alebtong, promising to prioritize the needs of women, youth, and vulnerable groups. 

During her speech, Acen also condemned the politics of hatred and propaganda. She disclosed that she was nominated after a group of individuals unlawfully entered her home and looted her academic papers, an incident she described as an act of intimidation meant to undermine her campaign.

After the campaign launch, Acen assured the community of her readiness to deliver meaningful development. The community responded by pledging their support, with many vowing to vote for Christine Acen Ayo as their next Member of Parliament for Alebtong District.

Her campaign continues to gain momentum, positioning her as a formidable contender in the upcoming elections, driven by her strong message of community development, unity, and resilience.
