TRENDING! Hill City College Lira Registers Excellent Performance UCE Exams - Topping the Sciences

Lira, Uganda: Parents across Lango sub-region and the entire North are celebrating the impressive performance of Hill City College in the recently released Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results for 2025.

Located in Ayago, Lira East City Division, the school obtained an outstanding results, with all 121 registered candidates qualifying to the next academic level.

According to the UNEB document, students scored multiple Grades A, B, and C across most subjects, with particularly strong performances in Science subjects.

Speaking to the media, Innocent Odongo, the current school Headteacher attributed the excellent results to the early completion of the syllabus by the dedicated and competent teachers, as well as seminars conducted by education and examination experts from UNEB, which provided students with valuable strategies.

“We also prepared our students through a series of internal tests and examinations to ready them for the UNEB final exams,” Odongo explained. He added that the school engaged students in series of resourceful mock examinations from top partner schools nationwide to enhance their performance.

Odongo further noted that the well-equipped laboratories motivated students to put extra effort into science subjects. These efforts began from Senior Two through to Senior Four, contributing to the improved results.

He thanked all stakeholders, including parents, students, teachers, and the school administration, whose collective efforts contributed significantly to this year's remarkable performance.

Hill City is now consistently ranked among the best 200 schools across the country, in 2025, UCE, it is being ranked best among the top 5 leading schools in the greater Lira
