UCI School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lira Opens Door For January intake 2025 As We Prepare to Celebrate Christmas

Lira, Uganda: As we usher in the Christmas season and welcome the New Year 2025, the management of the Uganda Christian Institute of Nursing and Midwifery in Lira City, along with their Center for Professional Development and Social Sciences, has issued a heartfelt New Year message emphasizing the importance of peace, unity, and love among the people of Uganda and beyond.
This institution is currently playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of the nation by training and nurturing skilled health professionals. The message was communicated to the media today.
"As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, let us embrace peace and unity, allowing Christ to guide us in our daily endeavors and responsibilities," an official stated.
He also expressed gratitude to parents for their commitment to supporting their children's academic journeys, highlighting that the belief in some African families that wealth and resources determine the future is no longer valid. Instead, he emphasized that securing a future through education is paramount.
In a separate interview, Director, UCI School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lira, Sam Omara, an educator and devoted church member, encouraged both students and parents to draw closer to God in all circumstances, whether challenging or joyful, to receive blessings.
He also informed the public that limited study opportunities are available at their two campuses in Lira City, inviting students to enroll in the January 2025 intake, which includes some bursary options.

Currently, according to rankings from educational authorities and experts, the UCI School of Nursing and Midwifery is recognized for its outstanding performance and provision of standardized educational services.
Established a decade ago by a group of young graduates, it stands as the only Christian nursing institution in Northern Uganda and has achieved significant milestones, including the training of over 5,000 health professionals who are now serving in various healthcare facilities across Uganda and abroad.
