Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lira announces January Intake Admission Loaded with Busary opportunities

Lira City, Uganda: The Luo Natives | As the new academic year 2025/2026 begins, Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery in Lira City, a well-known and respected medical school, has officially announced its new intake for January 2024 for certificates in Nursing and Midwifery.

During a press conference with many journalists in Lira City over the weekend, Dr. Isaac Orec, the director of the school, confirmed that they have started accepting applications from students all over Lango and beyond. He mentioned that there is a high demand for medical professionals in the job market, and Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery is addressing this need by training and encouraging young people to pursue medical courses. 

Dr. Orec, who is also a medical doctor, emphasized that the institution values Christianity and believes in building a better future starting today. He also shared the admission process, which requires students to submit their UCE Certificates with good grades. Dr. Orec encouraged the community in Northern Uganda to support their children in pursuing nursing courses. 

In addition to academics, the school focuses on instilling good morals in medical students so that they can make a positive impact in the healthcare field, rather than becoming a burden by engaging in unethical practices. Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery has consistently ranked at the top in the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Examination Board (UNMEB) results, with students achieving high scores that qualify them for further education in the medical field. 

Dr. Orec highlighted their commitment to improving the education system in Lango and making medical courses affordable for families with limited resources.
