RDC Abudul Ganners Support In Erute South as NRM bigwigs back him

Kampala, Uganda: Political atmosphere continues to gain momentum and pressure shoots up in the political circles, Otuke Resident district commissioner, George Abudul also continues to gain significant supports from both the National Resistance Movement bigwigs and the people of Erute South.
Abudul who is the whip and mentor of RDCs has since jumped in the political boxing ring to terminate MP Jonathan Odur’s political journey in the 2026 election.
He is coming under the NRM and ready to defeat former state minister for housing Sam Engola who is currently holding the portfolio of senior Presidential advisor in charge of Lango sub region.
According to highly confidential source, Abudul has a leeway and well placed to deflate Engola in NRM primaries since he is still fresh, capable and mostly associate with youth more than Engola whose political cloth has faded and his mobilization skills has vanished.
Engola was defeated by MP Odur in two consecutive times (2016 and 2021) but he has expressed willingness for a political come back in the next general election, a move being contested by a section of NRM in Lira district where he is the chairperson.
“I am coming to contest after spending nearly ten years in the political holidays,” Engola confirmed his position to the media early this year.
In the last election Odur defeated Engola with 17,763, Engola came second with 15,606, Etii 787 and Johnson Adupa Orec trailed with 328 votes.
Abudul says he is ready to face it out with Engola in the party primaries.
“As far as I know Engola cannot defeat me in the NRM primaries and above all we shall not allow him again to hold our flag,” Abudul says.
The coming of Abudul has given a very thin line for the former minister to survive politically and political commentators say it will mark the end of his political journey.
