Minister Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero Boosts Lango Sports Academy with Sports Equipment

Lira, Uganda - In a move to promote youth development through sports, Minister of Health and Lira City Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, has donated vital sports equipment to Lango Sports Academy.

The donation, which includes goal posts nets, bibs, and other essential training items, is a significant boost to the academy's efforts to nurture young talent in the region.

While presenting the equipment, Minister Aceng Ocero encouraged the youth to remain determined and committed to their goals. "Football may not last forever, so it's crucial to prioritize education to secure your future," she advised.

The Minister also expressed gratitude to the management team of Lango Sports Academy for their dedication to shaping the future of young people through sports.

The CEO of Lango Sports Academy  applauded Minister Aceng Ocero for her support.

 He assured her that the academy sends students to various schools under sports bursaries, with many already enrolled in schools like Mentor SS Lira and others outside the Lango sub-region.

Notably, Lango Sports Academy provides training for both boys and girls, promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities for all.

A player identified as Mercy of praised the minister for the support. She said they have been lacking training sporting equptiments.

Minister Aceng Ocero's support for Lango Sports Academy demonstrates her commitment to empowering young people and promoting holistic development in the region.

She also pledged to connect the team to other big opportunities. 

Lango sport academy is currenlty using a playing ground of Mother Silva Nursery and Primary School in Ober ,Lira City west Division as their trainig ground.
