Man Of The People!! Hon. Ngabirano Stephen Listens to Ryakahungu, Ready to Solve Real Problems
In his continued efforts to connect with the people and understand their everyday challenges, Hon. Ngabirano Stephen, aspiring Member of Parliament for Sheema North, recently visited Ryakahungu in Muzira Parish. His visit was more than symbolic it was a clear sign of the kind of leader he is: present, attentive, and committed to finding lasting solutions.
During the community meeting, local leaders opened and their stories broke my heart.
This community faces unimaginable challenges.
Topping the list was the severe water crisis. Ryakahungu, being a hilly area, suffers from a dire lack of accessible clean water. Women and children have to walk nearly 10 kilometers down steep terrain to collect water from a shared valley well. This water source is not only distant but also unreliable and unsanitary, shared by many, posing serious health risks. Hon. Stephen agreed that this is unacceptable and committed to working with both government and partners to bring clean, safe water closer to people’s homes.
The second major issue raised was the lack of electricity. In today’s world, where power is essential for education, health, business, and security, Ryakahungu remains in the dark. Hon. Stephen listened keenly and promised to advocate for the extension of electricity to every corner of Sheema North, starting with forgotten areas like this.
The community also shared their struggle with lack of access to healthcare facilities. Many residents have to travel long distances to reach the nearest clinic, often on foot, and sometimes in emergencies. For mothers, the elderly, and young children, this is life-threatening. Hon. Stephen emphasized that quality healthcare should not be a luxury it is a right. He promised to fight for the improvement of health services in such hard-to-reach areas.
What stood out throughout the visit was Hon. Stephen’s willingness to listen not just to reply, but to understand. He did not come with speeches; he came with an open heart and a commitment to walk the journey with the people of Ryakahungu.
His leadership is rooted in action, not promises. As other politicians wait for election time to show face, Hon. Stephen is already on the ground, gathering facts, meeting the people, and preparing solutions.
The truth is simple: Sheema North needs a leader who knows the real problems and is ready to fix them not from an office, but from the heart of the community.
Vote Hon. Ngabirano Stephen. A Voice for the Forgotten. A Hand for the Struggling. A Leader for Real Change.
