Exclusive Story: Akalo Secondary School Kole Celebrates As Church Of Uganda Province Awards Them For Perfoming Well in UCE Exams

KAMPALA, UGANDA; The community of Akalo Secondary School is celebrating a significant milestone in their academic journey, having received an award from the Church of Uganda Province for being the best in UCE exam performance in 2025 among the top schools in Uganda.

During the address, the school headteacher, Mr. Wilfred Okabo, praised the community for embracing the school. He assured them that the school will continue to uphold this excellent performance and ensure students find a bright future at Akalo Secondary School, regardless of its location.

Regarding enrollment, Mr. Okabo stated that the school has experienced a remarkable increase from 600 students to over 1,000 students, spanning from senior one to senior five. 

On the school's reopening, the proud headteacher revealed that most students have reported back, and lessons are proceeding smoothly. He also informed parents that the school is currently offering admission to senior one, two, three, and five classes for those who missed the opportunity last term.

Akalo Secondary School, located in Akalo Subcounty along Lira-Kole-Apac road, has maintained its reputation not only in academics but also in sports. The school has won several trophies through participation in sporting activities at both district and national levels.
