Oyam Woman Mp Hopeful Jane Frances Acilo Supports TOP PLE Performers

Lira, Uganda: In an effort to boost educational services in Oyam District, Jane Frances Acilo, an aspirant for the Oyam District woman MP under the NRM flag, has begun to fulfill some of her pledges even before officially entering parliament.
She donated mattresses and boxes to 37 students to help them kickstart their senior education.
This support was aimed at the pupils who excelled in the 2024 PLE results. The event took place at Anyeke Primary School in Oyam Town Council. Jane Acilo, who has been promoting commercial farming for several years, is dedicated to this cause.
During her speech, she highlighted that many high-achieving children are unable to continue their education due to financial difficulties in their families, which hampers their future prospects.
For the top four candidates, Jane Acilo promised to cover their school fees until they complete their A-levels starting from senior one.
She encouraged parents to select the best schools for their children, assuring them that she would fully fund their education, regardless of whether she is elected.
Acilo, who comes from Myene Sub County, is competing against more than six women for the NRM nomination.
Many NRM members have pledged to support the most capable woman who can effectively take on the current MP's responsibilities.
The education department, represented by DIS Janet Acol, expressed gratitude to Jane Acilo for prioritizing education as a key area for development.
She noted that often children lack support, but Jane has brought a vision for progress.
Mr. Aluku, the district sports officer representing the DEO, encouraged students to focus on their studies and avoid negative influences for a brighter future.
He concluded by commending Jane for her contributions to the students and their families, urging parents to back such a visionary leader when the time comes.
Parents of the supported students promised to support Jane in her quest to become the woman MP for Oyam District. Francis Odongo Alii, the chairman of Jane Frances Acilo's campaign team, assured parents of their commitment to her cause.
