Wisdom High Sch To Represent Lango Zone In the National USSSA Championship

WISDOM HIGH SCHOOL- AKALO MAKES HISTORY, QUALIFIED FOR THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS TOURNAMENT IN NGORA 

Lira, Uganda : In a stunning twist of events, Wisdom High School, a team from Kole District, has qualified for the National Championships after a remarkable performance in the USSSA 2025 Regional Tournament. 

Despite being invited to the tournament as a wildcard entry, Wisdom High School has proven to be a force to be reckoned with, defeating all five teams in their group, including Dr. Obote College, Otwal Secondary School, Dokolo Progressive, Apac Seed, and Amach Modern Secondary School.Wisdom High School topped their group with 15 points, showcasing their dominance in the tournament.

 They continued their winning streak by defeating Marazui Seed and Lira Town College in a whopping 2:0 victory in the Quarterfinals and Semifinals respectively.Wisdom High School will face Mentor Secondary School in the Finals on the 11th April, 2025 at Ambalal Primary School Grounds. The team is confident and determined to bring home the Championship Title.

Speaking to the press after qualifying for the Finals, the Executive Director of Wisdom High School, Mr. Ambrose Ogwal expressed his excitement and gratitude to God for the team's success. 

He appreciated the efforts of the Regional USSSA Secretariat in ensuring that only genuine students participated in the tournament.Mr. Ogwal advised the district-level authorities to follow the example set by the Regional USSSA Secretariat by screening players to prevent ineligible participants from competing. 

Wisdom High School has qualified for the National Championships for three consecutive times, making them the first team in Lango's history to achieve this feat.After nearly qualifying for the Quarterfinals at the National Level in 2024, Wisdom High School has implemented their revamped efforts which signals their determination and resilience in 2025.
