Kampala, Uganda – The returning officer of Kole District has officially nominated Hon. Lamunu Sharon to contest for the position of Woman Councillor in Kole Town Council District. The nomination took place on the first day of the electoral process at Kole District headquarters, marking the beginning of her campaign journey.
Hon. Lamunu was accompanied by her enthusiastic supporters, who joyfully marched to the nomination center singing the UPC anthem, demonstrating strong community backing. Upon her nomination, she expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Electoral Commission for the opportunity.
During her address, Lamunu unveiled her key agenda for Kole Town Council. She emphasized her plan to establish the Lamunu Foundation aimed at supporting education and improving the well-being of residents within Kole Town Council. She highlighted her commitment to networking with government agencies and NGOs to foster development in the area, leveraging her existing connections.
Lamunu also outlined her priorities, including addressing critical issues such as poor road infrastructure and the healthcare system. She assured residents of her dedication to working tirelessly for the betterment of Kole, advocating for accessible healthcare services and improved road networks to facilitate economic growth and community development.
