LIRA CITY — The Ogang Oganga Herbal Clinic have emerged as a vital resource for residents seeking affordable and natural healthcare solutions in Northern Uganda
Founded by renowned herbalist Ogang Oganga, also a leader of herbal medicine in the north the clinics focus on providing traditional herbal treatments for common ailments such as malaria, diabetes, high blood pressure, and respiratory issues.
Community members have welcomed the clinics, praising their accessibility and effectiveness. Many say that the herbal therapies have helped them recover faster and reduce reliance on costly pharmaceuticals. "Since I started visiting Ogang Oganga Clinics, I’ve seen a real improvement in my health, and I can afford the treatments," shared local resident Grace Auma.
George Opio, a resident of Aloi in Alebtong testified that it was through the service of Ogang Ogang that made his wife to conceive after a struggle for long for a baby.
In addition to offering treatments, the clinics actively educate the community on health maintenance and the benefits of herbal medicine, aligning with Uganda’s efforts to integrate traditional medicine into mainstream healthcare.
