Lira Worker's Councillor Hon. Pamela Angwech Engola Urges Peace, Gratitude, and Unity in Christmas Message

LIRA DISTRICT, UG! – The newly declared unopposed Female Workers’ Councillor for Lira District, Hon. Pamela Angwech Engola, has called upon the people of Lango to celebrate the Christmas season with love, peace, and unity.
Speaking to journalists, Hon. Angwech began by expressing her profound gratitude to God for His protection and blessings upon the people of Lango throughout the year. She urged the community to remain steadfast in their faith and to continue supporting the work of God in their lives.
“As we celebrate this Christmas season, I extend my sincere appreciation to you for your dedication and tireless contribution to the growth of our district,” she stated. “Your labour sustains our families, our institutions, and our economy.”
Highlighting the significance of the festive period, she added, “May the birth of Jesus Christ bring peace to your homes, strength in your work, and hope for a better tomorrow.”
In her capacity as the district’s female workers’ representative, Hon. Angwech reaffirmed her commitment to advocating for the rights, dignity, and improved working conditions of all workers, with special attention to the welfare of women in the workforce.
A known mobilizer for the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Hon. Angwech also emphasized the importance of safeguarding developmental achievements. She encouraged her constituents to support President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and all NRM candidates in the Lango sub-region, underscoring the party’s role in fostering stability and progress.
Her declaration as unopposed followed the close of nominations, solidifying her position to represent workers’ interests in the district council.
The public has welcomed her message, with many expressing hope for continued advocacy and inclusive leadership in the coming term.
