Lira, Uganda – The Office of the Academic Registrar at Fountainhead Institute of Management and Technology (FIMAT), Lira, is pleased to announce that applications for the January 2026 intake are now officially open. The institute is inviting qualified students, particularly from the Karamoja sub-region, to apply for a range of diploma and certificate programs under a dedicated bursary scheme.

Speaking to journalists at the campus, the School Director, Mr. Tom Okao, expressed his gratitude towards the community. "We thank the people of Karamoja for their warm embrace and trust in Fountainhead Institute. Education is the cornerstone of development, and we are committed to providing accessible, quality training," he stated.

Mr. Okao made a special appeal to prospective students: "I urge the youth and working professionals of Karamoja to seize this opportunity. The bursary covers a variety of high-demand, science and technology-oriented programs aimed at building practical skills for the modern workforce.

**National Certificate Programs:**

* National Certificate in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

* National Certificate in Building Construction

* National Certificate in Fashion and Design

* National Certificate in Agriculture

Diploma Programs:

* Diploma in Civil Engineering

* Diploma in Water Engineering

* National Diploma in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

* National Diploma in Public Administration

* National Diploma in Business Administration and Management

Scholarship Details 

Eligibility Requirements:

* Applicants must possess a UCE (O-Level) or UACE (A-Level) certificate or its equivalent.

* Must demonstrate a strong academic record and a genuine need for financial support.

* A commitment to community development and leadership is highly valued.

   Priority will be given to applicants from the Karamoja sub-region.

Bursary Coverage:

The comprehensive bursary covers:

  Full tuition fees for the entire program duration.

   Other essential academic-related expenses, including functional fees and provision for essential learning materials.
