Kole, Uganda – In the true spirit of Easter, the Daf School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kole, teamed up with the local community of Barkalo in Akalo Sub-county to mark the holiday by hosting a comprehensive community healthcare service. The event, held on Easter Sunday, showcased the institution's unwavering dedication to improving health and fostering well-being among the people of Kole.

Speaking to the media during the event, the institutional director, Alice Akite, highlighted the significance of the program. She explained that the healthcare services provided included free medical checkups, consultations, health education sessions, and treatment for common conditions such as malaria. Akite expressed gratitude to the students and faculty for their tireless efforts in organizing and delivering these vital services to the community.

Residents benefited from a range of healthcare services, including blood pressure checks, malaria screenings, antenatal care, and child immunization. The program also featured a health awareness campaign, educating participants on disease prevention and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles. Hundreds of residents turned out to access the services, with many expressing heartfelt gratitude to the school for bringing much-needed medical care closer to their doorstep.

The school administrator underscored the importance of community engagement in health initiatives, stating, "Easter is a time of love and generosity, and what better way to celebrate than by giving back to our community? This event not only strengthens our bond with the people of Kole but also provides a valuable opportunity for our students to gain hands-on experience while making a meaningful difference."

In her Easter message to the community, Director Akite encouraged parents to consider medical courses for their children, emphasizing that the Daf School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kole, serves as a launchpad for successful careers in healthcare. She also preached a message of love and unity, urging the community to embrace solidarity for collective growth.

Since its establishment, the Daf School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kole, has distinguished itself as one of Uganda’s leading private medical institutions in the Uganda National Nurses and Midwives Examination Board (UNMEB) examinations. The institution continues to excel in nurturing compassionate, skilled healthcare professionals who are committed to serving humanity.

She also added, the institution is offering 50 percent partial scholarship in all the courses to all the students enrolling for July intake 2025 in certificate in Nursing and Midwifery and Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery ( Extension Program, One and aHalf Years) and Diploma Direct Entry ( three years).

Currently, DAF school of Nursing and Midwifery, Kole has opened a study center in Lira City next to Lillian towers Hotel on Inomo Road for Diploma under extension program.
