THE Hope of Agago district has finally been restored as Visionary Leader, Abalo Lillian Ongom is nominated as NRM candidate for Agago LCV race.

For a decade, the electorates of Agago district have been complaining of the poor road networks, poor health service delivery and limping standards of education.

This has actually been due to due to weak leadership especially in the local government level, something which made some people lost hope in voting.

In a significant stride to restore hope, Hon. Abalo Lillian Ongom has alredy made a bold step to take the mantle to lead Agago district as the District LCV Chairperson, contesting in the NRM Primary elections and main elections respectively.

Abalo, a former Senior Presidential Advisor on the Acholi sub region affairs was successfully nominated on Thursday morning by the NRM Electoral Commission offices in Kampala, by the party Chairman Electoral Commission, Dr. Tanga Odoi.

Having served the interest of the people of Acholi for many years, Mego Abalo Ongom expressed her deep understanding of the challenges facing the electorates in Agogo district and emphasized her commitment to change the story in the five years of her tenure as the political head.

Top in her gender, Abalo said she will priorities the girl child education by offering bursaries, which she started doing it before she had even shown interest in running for the district LCV seat.

On road infrastructures, Abalo said she will improve on the road status to improve trade and ease access for the farmers to access markets for the produce.

Another critical challenge which she intends to tackle the upgrade of Patonga HCIV to the district hospital, equipping it with essential medical equipment and increasing its staffing level to enable it handle critical health issues among the voting community.

Abalo is also determined to uproot the corruption traits in Agogo district Local Government, where according to testimonies, one cannot be recruited without paying bribe to the district service commission.

She promises to foster teamwork among the political leadership and technical staff to ensure effective service delivery, strengthen community groups and create market linkages for the farmers in the district among other tasks.
