JOIN Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lira Using this Online Application Platform

Lira, Uganda – In a move to align with modern technology and improve access to education, Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lira, has launched a new online application platform that allows students to receive their admission letters virtually. This development eliminates the need for applicants to physically walk to the school campus to pick up their admission documents.
Addressing journalists in Lira, Dr. Isaac Orec, the School Director, said the initiative was introduced in response to the growing number of applicants from across Uganda and abroad.
“This development was driven by the overwhelming demand from international applicants and those residing in distant regions,” Dr. Orec said. “We recognized the need to streamline the process and make our services more accessible, regardless of one’s location.”
According to Dr. Orec, the digital platform not only simplifies the admission process but also reflects the institution’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance service delivery and reduce administrative burden.
The new system allows prospective students to apply, upload academic documents, track application status, and receive admission letters—all online. It is also expected to curb long queues at the school’s administration offices and reduce transport costs for applicants.
Mary Akello, a prospective student from Gulu, welcomed the development. “It has saved me time and money. I applied from home and received my admission letter within days,” she shared.
Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery is one of the leading institutions in Northern Uganda offering health-related programs, and this innovation marks another step in its pursuit of excellence and inclusivity.
The school administration has encouraged applicants for the upcoming academic intake to take advantage of the platform, which is now fully operational on the school’s official website.
