Ebenezer University in Lira Offers Diploma in Education – Teachers Urged to Seize This Opportunity Amid Government's Directive on qualification 

Lira, Uganda — Ebenezer University, a prominent institution in Lira, has the admissions of the students for Diploma in Education program aimed at equipping teachers with essential pedagogical skills. The move comes at a crucial time when the government continues to emphasize the importance of meeting updated academic requirements for teaching professionals which is degree level.

According to university officials, the diploma program is designed to provide practical teaching skills and theoretical knowledge, aligning with the Ministry of Education and Sports' recent directives on teacher qualification standards.

According to the Unversity official, admissions is open to teachers with grade three certificates and those with A level certificate can also as well joined the programs. 

Currenlty, more than 200 primary school teachers and Nursery from different part of Uganda are attending and almost completing their diploma programs at the Ebenezer University in Amuca, Lira City that will give them a path to enroll for degrees progams as required by government. 

Teachers and education practitioners in the country are encouraged to seize this opportunity to upgrade their credentials. The government has reiterated its stance on enforcing strict academic requirements for teachers to improve the quality of education nationwide.

Applicants are advised to apply early, as the university expects high demand for the program. The diploma course will commence in the upcoming academic semester, with detailed admission criteria available on the university's website.
