MP-Elect Alyela Omodi Praises NRM, Mobilizes Ugandans for Museveni's Swearing-In Ceremony in Kampala
LIRA, UGANDA: On Tuesday, Ugandans will wintess and attend an historic event at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds to usher in president Museveni into office.
Lira City East MP-elect, Denis Alyela Omodi, has thanked Ugandans for their continued support of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming ceremony, Alyela Omodi called upon all Ugandans, regardless of their social status, religion, or political background, to participate in the national event that will officially usher President Museveni into another term of leadership as the President of Uganda.
He noted that since the NRM government came into power in 1986, the country has experienced stability, peace, and significant infrastructure development, including improvements in roads, education, health services, and economic growth. According to Alyela Omodi, these achievements are a sign of the government’s commitment to transforming Uganda and improving the livelihoods of its citizens.
The MP-elect further appealed to Ugandans to continue supporting and embracing the NRM government, saying unity and cooperation are essential for national development and progress.
Addressing the people of Lira City East, Alyela Omodi assured residents that as he prepares to officially assume office, he is committed to providing effective and people-centered leadership. He pledged to strengthen service delivery, lobby for development projects, and ensure that the voices of the people of Lira City East are well represented in Parliament.
“I am ready to serve my people with dedication, honesty, and commitment. My focus will be on development, youth empowerment, improved services, and creating stronger connections between the people and government,” Alyela Omodi said.
