Karenga, Uganda : Christians across the country commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Karenga District, Mr. Kedi Ronald Ogondia, has sent a powerful message of hope, unity, and renewal to all residents, urging them to embrace the true spirit of Easter.

In a statement released from his office on the eve of the Good Friday celebrations, Ogondia called upon the people of Karenga to use this solemn period for deep reflection, forgiveness, and communal harmony.

“Easter is not merely about feasting and festivities. It is a divine reminder that after suffering comes glory, and after the cross comes the crown. I wish every family in Karenga a blessed and joyful Easter celebration,” Ogondia said.

He emphasized the importance of peace and security during the holiday season, urging residents to coexist harmoniously regardless of their religious, political, or cultural backgrounds.

He further encouraged parents and guardians to guide children and youth away from reckless behavior and instead focus on the moral lessons of love and sacrifice that Easter represents.

“Let us remember the less fortunate among us. Share a meal, offer a prayer, and extend a hand of kindness to the needy. That is the true meaning of resurrection rising to become better people and a better community,” he added.

Ogondia also used the occasion to commend security forces in the district for their vigilance and commitment, assuring the public that measures have been put in place to ensure a safe and peaceful Easter weekend for all.

He concluded by praying for God’s continued blessings upon Karenga District and the nation at large, wishing every household a time of joy, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
