GCW Obua Hails M7 For Restoration Of Peace In Lango As He Takes An Early Lead in His re-election compaign Rally

Alebtong, Uganda – As he enjoys commanding an early lead in his reelection campaign rally in Ajuri County, Denis Hamson Obua, the Regional Vice Chair ( NRM) for Northern Uganda, has lauded President Yoweri Museveni for his contributions and leadership skills that successfully brought an end to the longstanding conflict in Northern Uganda.

During the campaign, Obua, who is also vying for his parliamentary seat and is the NRM candidate, addressed the people of Lango. He emphasized the seven fundamental pillars that, he said, make Museveni the only credible and potential leader capable of continuing Uganda’s development trajectory.

While advocating for the protection of the gains made under President Museveni and the NRM, Obua, affectionately known as Obua Ajuri, highlighted some of the key achievements in Lango region. These include the upgrading of the Lira-Kamdini road, the construction of the Rwenykuyi - Lira-Acholibur road, and ongoing projects at Akiibua Studium, among others. He urged people to vote for Museveni and all NRM candidates. 

Recent surveys indicate that MP Hamson Obua remains the frontrunner among the candidates seeking to unseat him in the upcoming elections. Constituency members have expressed strong support for him, citing his active engagement in lobbying for development projects and maintaining strong networks that benefit the people of Lango and Ajuri.

 They believe that his continued leadership in Parliament will ensure the region’s growth and prosperity.

Currently, MP Obua is seen as a clear favorite to retain his seat. 

As the campaigns intensify, Obua continues to rally support by emphasizing development achievements, unity, and the importance of loyalty to President Museveni’s leadership. The region is closely watching the upcoming elections, which are seen as pivotal for continued peace and progress in Northern
