Lira, Uganda - In a remarkable display of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, Sudroick Otol, a young IT enthusiast and founder of Kakebe Technology, has captured the attention of President Yoweri Museveni with an ambitious idea to establish an IT innovation hub in Northern Uganda.

Sudroick, who hails from the Lango sub-region, exemplifies Uganda’s growing pool of tech talent and young entrepreneurs. His passion for technology and innovation is evident in his proposal to create a dedicated hub that will serve as a catalyst for economic growth, job creation, and technological advancement in the region.

While meeting journalists at Barlegi State Lodge, Sudroick recently presented his vision directly to President Museveni. Impressed by the young innovator's confidence and clear vision, the President commended him for his initiative and pledged to support his effort.

"Sudroick's idea is a breath of fresh air in our efforts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the country," President Museveni remarked. He also promised to organize a meeting with Otolo and his team to further discuss the establishment of a tech hub in Northern Uganda, indicating government interest and support for the project.

Sudroick's proposal envisions an IT innovation hub that will provide a platform for young entrepreneurs to develop, test, and showcase their technological ideas. The hub is also expected to offer training, mentorship programs, and access to resources needed to foster startup growth and innovation. This initiative aligns with Uganda’s national strategies to promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), as the country continues to invest in nurturing scientists, engineers, and tech entrepreneurs.

Commenting on his plans, Sudroick expressed gratitude for the President’s support. "I am thrilled that the President has taken notice of my proposal and is willing to support my cause," he said. "This recognition motivates me to work even harder to turn this idea into a reality."

The establishment of the IT innovation hub in Northern Uganda has the potential to unlock significant economic opportunities, especially for the youth who face high unemployment rates. With the right resources and backing, Sudroick’s initiative could become a game-changer, providing young people with a platform to develop their talents, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to the region's progress.

As Uganda continues to grapple with economic challenges and unemployment, Sudroick’s innovative proposal offers hope for a brighter future. With government support and community engagement, this project could inspire a new generation of young entrepreneurs and technologists in the North, positioning Uganda as a competitive player in the regional tech landscape.
