Ebenezer University Lira invites Applications for Admissions for an In-Service Programme in Certificate in Early Childhood Education; Diploma in Education Primary; Diploma in Early Childhood Education; Bachelor of Education, Primary & Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
Lira, Uganda– In a strategic move to bolster the region's educational workforce, Ebenezer University Lira, has intensified its mobilization campaign for its In-service Programs. The initiative specifically targets teachers seeking to upgrade to attain Certificate in Early Childhood Education; Diploma in Education Primary; Diploma in Early Childhood Education; Bachelor of Education, Primary & Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
University officials and dedicated outreach teams are actively engaging with teachers, school administrators, and community leaders across the region. Through community rallies, targeted information sessions, and close collaboration with local education authorities, the university is raising awareness and driving enrollment for the upcoming academic session.
"The goal is to provide continuous professional development for our practicing teachers," stated Mr. Richard Okullu, the Institutional Director. "Education is the backbone of development, and we are committed to ensuring that our teachers are well-equipped to deliver quality early childhood, and primary, and secondary education.
These programs are affordable, accessible and flexible, allowing teachers to enhance their qualifications without leaving their classrooms."
The programs are strategically timed to begin during the school holiday, minimizing disruption to teaching schedules.
Confirming the details, the University’s Academic Registrar, Joseph Esiana, said that with Competence Based Education (CBE) Ebenezer University Lira is best suited to train Teachers who are Innovative; Creative and serve with excellence.

The In-service program is set to commence on December 6, 2025. He urged all eligible teachers to take full advantage of this opportunity in line with the requirements of the National Teachers Policy (NTP 2019) which requires all teachers to obtain/hold Bachelor's degree by 2030.
To be eligible for admission, prospective applicants should hold;
O'Level Certificate; Grade III Certificate; Certificate in ECD; Diploma in Education or Two
Enrollment for the December intake is currently underway, with a notable surge of interest from teachers eager to advance their careers and contribute to higher educational standards in their communities.
