Former Woman MP Kole Alyek Endorses Gen. Muhoozi 's 2031 Presidential Candidacy

Kampala, Uganda: Judith Alyek, The former Chairperson of the Lango Parliamentary Group in the 11th Parliament, has endorsed General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, for the 2031 presidential election.

Speaking in Kampala, Alyek said she had decided to support and promote Kainerugaba’s presidential ambitions because she considers him a good and patriotic leader capable of contributing to Uganda’s continued development.

Alyek also called on Ugandans to continue supporting the ideology and programmes of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), a political pressure group associated with Kainerugaba and his supporters.

She said the country needs leaders committed to national development, patriotism and the interests of Ugandans.

Kainerugaba, the son of President Yoweri Museveni, has in recent years been at the centre of discussions about Uganda’s political succession. His supporters have repeatedly expressed interest in seeing him seek the presidency in the future.
