Assured Win; Victoria Sch Of Nursing and Midwifery- Lira Excels In UHPAB Exams

LIRA — Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery has registered outstanding performance in the newly released Uganda Health Professions Assessment Board (UHPAB) examinations, recording top pass rates across its nursing and midwifery programs.

The national results were released in Kampala on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, by the Acting Minister of Education, Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo, covering the June 2026 assessment series. Nationally, 89,663 students from 223 institutions sat for the exams, comprising 75,577 continuing students and 14,086 finalists.

Reacting to the success, Dr. Isaac Orec, the Chief Executive Director of Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery - Lira, attributed the school's stellar performance to strategic planning and a shared commitment among staff and students.

 He pledged that the Christian-based institution, which was established by an experienced medical doctor, will continue to uphold these high standards of academic and clinical excellence.
