Amb.Dickson Ogwang Okul Delivers Powerful Christmas Message Urging Lango To Focus On the Future

Wishes of prosperity to the people of Lango as we approach 2025.

In his Christmas and New Year message, Ambassador Ogwang stated: "As the star of Bethlehem illuminates our path this Christmas, it is a moment for reflection on the year that has elapsed This year has presented us with significant challenges, yet it has also showcased our remarkable resilience. We have witnessed the conclusion of a tumultuous period in our cultural leadership, a time of conflict that tested the very essence of our community."

In his address to his family, the leople of Lango,, Ambassador Dickson Ogwang Okul, who also serves as the leader of the Pala Ocol clan, emphasized that due to the rule of law and the effective administration of justice in Uganda, tranquility has been restored, and His Highness Mzee Yosam Odur Ebii now occupies his rightful throne. From this experience, we have gleaned essential lessons regarding the necessity for transformational, selfless, and conciliatory leadership seasoned with discipline and respect.

Ambassador Ogwang encourages the populace to shift our focus towards the future, committing ourselves to personal development through diligence, hard work, and productivity. We must also strive to silence the voices of malice and hatred that frequently permeate our airwaves and social media, replacing them with constructive dialogue rooted in love and understanding.

I urge us all to embrace self-love by leading virtuous lives, to extend kindness and compassion to our neighbours, and above all, to love God, whose steadfast presence guides our destinies now and forever.

My dedication to serving as your voice of reason, advocating for your cultural preservation and promotion, socio-economic progress, truth, and justice remains steadfast. My commitment to our nation continues as I serve as your representative abroad.

Even as I mourn the recent passing of my father, Mzee Silvestor Okul, also known as Dyang-Weic, my thoughts are with all who have experienced the loss of loved ones and faced various hardships this year. Yet, amid our grief, let us also take time to celebrate the joys: the new lives welcomed into our families, the marriages celebrated, and the numerous blessings we have received.

Mr. Ogwang Okul expressed his gratitude to the NRM government, led by His Excellency General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for the significant contributions to the developmental progress observed in Lango He highlighted several achievements, including the restoration of the Karuma Bridge, enhancements to the road network, advancements in healthcare and education, the initiation of the Lango Palace project, and the exciting construction of the Akii Bua Olympic Memorial Stadium, all of which serve as evidence of this progress. We extend our sincere appreciation to our leaders.
