Yusta Asiimwe Kiijanangoma, the mother of Tooro’s incoming King Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I, has officially relocated to Karuziika Palace ahead of the historic coronation.
The ceremonial relocation marks another important step in preparations for the installation of the new Omukama of Tooro.
Yusta Asiimwe, a staunch Catholic, is expected to play a significant role in the coronation ceremonies scheduled for Tuesday, September 29.
Among her key responsibilities will be the ceremonial crowning of Prince Edward Nyabongo I before daybreak on the coronation day.
Earlier on Sunday, prayers were held for Yusta Asiimwe during Mass at Our Lady of the Snow, Virika Cathedral.
