Hidden Secret Leaks; Cousin Spills How King Oyo Had More Than One Children

Ron Kazooba Kawamara, a cousin of the late Tooro king Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, has suggested that the monarch left behind more than one child, adding a new twist to the ongoing debate over the kingdom’s succession.

The revelation came during an exchange on X on October 1, 2026, when a user identified as LoneChild posted, “BABY OYO EXISTS.”

Kawamara responded by quoting the post and writing, “Babies :)”. His choice of words appeared to suggest that the late king had more than one child, although he did not provide further details.

The brief exchange has attracted attention because Oyo’s children have been at the centre of the royal succession dispute. His sister, Princess Ruth Komuntale, previously rejected the selection of Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma, arguing that Oyo had left a will naming his son as the rightful heir.

Queen Mother Best Kemigisa also opposed the choice and later revealed that Oyo’s son had remained in the United States amid tensions surrounding the succession process.

Kawamara’s response has now raised fresh questions about whether the late monarch had other children whose identities and whereabouts have not been publicly disclosed. He did not reveal their names, ages, sex or number, nor did he explain whether they had been presented to the royal clan.

The exchange came just two days after Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I was crowned at Karuziika Palace in Fort Portal on September 29, 2026. President Yoweri Museveni attended the ceremony, marking a major moment in the kingdom’s leadership transition.

After Kawamara’s response, LoneChild called for patience, writing, “Now let’s pray for long life and see one of them sit in that throne”. King Oyo died on August 27, 2026, aged 34, after receiving cancer treatment in the United States. He was buried at the Karambi Royal Tombs on September 12, 2026.
