Please Stop It, Don’t Provoke Us — PLU Warns Hadijah Namyalo Over Museveni Endorsement

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has criticised Office of the National Chairman (ONC) manager Hadijah Namyalo after her Bugisu team publicly endorsed President Yoweri Museveni for continued leadership beyond 2031.
The endorsement was made during World Tourism Day celebrations in Mbale on September 27, where members of the ONC Bugisu team displayed banners supporting Museveni as he addressed the gathering.
Chris Buyela, who represented the ONC Bugisu team and Namyalo, said the endorsement reflected their views about Museveni’s contribution to development and youth programmes.
The move drew a response from PLU leaders, who are conducting a nationwide endorsement campaign for Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba ahead of the 2031 presidential election. PLU has publicly documented its ongoing endorsement drive.
