Kizza Besigye Never, Ever Treated Mzee, My Father Was Treated By Late Dr. Bata - Gen Muhoozi Sets The Record Straight

Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has dismissed claims that opposition figure Dr Kizza Besigye ever treated President Yoweri Museveni, saying his father received medical care from the late Dr Bata.

Muhoozi made the clarification while addressing what he described as a misconception about Besigye’s relationship with his father. He said Besigye did not provide medical treatment to Museveni as has sometimes been claimed.

“Kizza Besigye never, ever treated Mzee. My father was treated by late Dr. Bata,” Muhoozi said in his statement.

The remarks come amid renewed public attention on Besigye, who has been a prominent opposition figure and former presidential candidate. Besigye served in the military and has had a long political history involving the Museveni government and opposition politics.
